When my children were small, I found my attention divided between care giving and my work as an artist and musician.  I enjoyed working with color and textures in various forms of needlework, and found that lead to beads.  About that time, I discovered the metaphysical meanings of gemstones, and  I sought to create talismans for personal use.  I found jewelry design allowed me to work with my imagination and bring my creations into being. 

As the years go by, I become more and more enthralled with materials and new techniques, and inspired by others.  I have taken classes in faceting gemstones, metalworking, wire wrapping, different beading techniques, and photographing jewelry.

There are many things that I would like to learn in this craft, including my goal of making handmade sterling silver jewelry from start to finish. My challenge is to find a way to truly express who I am.
